Debankita Dutta, a 14-year-old Class 8 student from Sonamura English Medium HS School in Tripura, has brought laurels to the state by securing the fourth position in the 67th Future Star Artist Art Exhibition and Competition organized by Manikarnika Art Gallery in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. The prestigious event was held from February 23 to March 2, 2025, and witnessed the participation of young artists from across the country.
Among the eight gold medal winners in the Junior Star Artist Final Category, Debankita was the sole participant from Tripura, making her achievement even more remarkable. The other winners included talented young artists from Karnataka, Assam, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and several other states.
A Journey of Artistic Excellence
Debankita’s journey in the world of art began in 2017 when she clinched the first place in the Rong Tuli Drawing Talent Search competition in Agartala. Since then, she has consistently showcased her talent by excelling in various art contests and examinations at different levels.
