Tripura Police announces 2025 annual award winners during Police Week celebrations, honoring top officers, police stations, districts, TSR battalions, and Crime Branch units for excellence in investigation, technology use, beat policing, and public service leadership.
Several police officials, personnel, units and districts of Tripura Police have been selected for various annual awards for 2025, with the trophies and certificates scheduled to be conferred on February 25 at M.R. Debbarma Memorial Stadium in A.D. Nagar. The annual awards shall be distributed as part of the Police Week celebrations beginning from February 26.
SDPO of Dharmanagar Jayanta Karmakar, has been selected for the “Policeman of the Year 2025” award. Sub-Inspector of Police (UB) and Officer-in-Charge of Battala outpost, Subhajit Deb, has been selected as “Best Investigator of the Year-2025”.
Kumar Sunil Gupta of 15th Battalion TSR has been selected as “Best Clerical Staff for the Year-2025” from TSR battalions, while Arpita Deb, U.D. Clerk of Police Headquarters has been selected as “Best Clerical Staff for the Year-2025” from police units.
Sabroom Police Station has been adjudged the “Best Police Station of Tripura in the Use of Technology for the Year-2025”. Kailashahar Police Station in Unakoti district has been named “Best Police Station for Beat System for the Year-2025”, and Sonamura Police Station in Sepahijala district has been declared the “Best Police Station for the Year-2025”.
North Tripura district has been adjudged the “Best District for Beat System for the Year-2025”, while West Tripura district has been selected as the “Best District for the Year-2025”.
Tripura Police Crime Branch has been adjudged the “Best Unit of Tripura Police in the Use of Technology for the Year-2025”, and the 7th Battalion TSR has been named the “Best TSR Battalion for the Year-2025”.
In addition to that, as many as 14 police officials had been named for the prestigious Chief Minister’s medal. The recipients of the CM’s medal are
IG Intelligence and Security Krishnendu Chakravertty, SP Traffic Kanta Jangir, SP Vigilance Jeremia Darlong, Additional SP cybercrime Nirdesh Deb, Deputy Commandant 15th Battalion Raju Reang, SDPO Gandacherra Sougat Chakma, SDPO Dharmanagar Jayanta Karmakar, Inspector Suman Ulla Kazi, Inspector Madhabi Debbarma, sub(GD) Jay Prakash Yadav, sub inspector Debajit Bhattacharjee, sub inspector Sankar Rudra Pal, sub (GD) Rakesh Debbarma of 13th Battalion TSR, and women constable Mouchaity Debnath,.

Moreover, a total of 81 police officials have been selected for the DGP’s commendation disc.
