Tripura police arrested two hardcover NLFT(BM) extremists from a vehicle near Dangabari under Gandacherra police station. Sanjoy Tripura (30) @ Sapre of Kata Lutma of Khagendra Roaja Para under Ambassa police station and Akhindra Debbarma (31) @Shyama @Okhak of Kata Lutma under Salema police station were long time NLFT amilitants.Police seized two smart phones and cash Rs15,000 from their possession.According to police sources, they were collecting extortion money in the name of NLFT(BM) from different areas of Dhalai district including Salema, Kachucherra, Kamalpur, Gandacherra and Raishyabari since July 2021.

In the meantime, taking the lead from the statements of two arrested NLFT cadres, police arrested two more associates from Raishyabari.

According to police, the two arrested militants- Bailya Jamatia (28) of Paradise Chowmuhani under Raishyabari police station and Rabi Kumar Tripura (45) of Chailyatoli village under Baghaicherra police station in Rangamati district of Bangladesh. All four arrestees will be forwarded to the Court on Saturday.
