The Tripura government has issued a notification to its employees, urging them to prioritize punctuality and maintain regular attendance in their respective offices. The notification, issued by the General Administration Department Secretary, Abhishek Singh, on Thursday, cited a lack of punctuality and irregular attendance among employees across various departments, offices, and public sector undertakings.

The notification underscored the government’s expectation for all employees to be punctual and maintain regular attendance henceforth. It emphasized the need for employees to reach their offices on time, ensuring that they are available to serve the public promptly from 10 a.m. onwards on all working days.

Furthermore, the notification explicitly stated that employees should refrain from leaving the office premises during the designated working hours of 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., unless they have valid and unavoidable reasons. Importantly, employees were reminded to notify their controlling authority in advance, under any circumstances, if they need to leave the office during working hours.

The government’s notification warned that any failure to adhere to these instructions would result in necessary action being taken against the employees concerned. The department urged all heads of departments to strictly enforce the punctuality and attendance guidelines among their respective staff members.

Maintaining punctuality and regular attendance is essential for the smooth functioning of government offices and effective public service delivery. The Tripura government’s directive highlights its commitment to enhancing efficiency, productivity, and accountability within the public sector. By emphasizing punctuality and regular attendance, the government aims to improve service quality and meet the public’s expectations promptly.

Employees are reminded of their responsibility to fulfill their duties and serve the public diligently. The government’s call for compliance with punctuality and attendance guidelines serves as a reminder to employees to prioritize their professional commitments and ensure efficient public service delivery.

The Tripura government expects all employees to strictly adhere to the punctuality and attendance guidelines mentioned in the notification. It is anticipated that the implementation of these measures will foster a more disciplined work environment and contribute to the overall improvement of administrative efficiency in the state.
