Tripura government forms recruitment panel for 916 police constable posts, including male and female vacancies. Senior TSR and police officials will supervise the transparent selection process under a newly constituted committee led by Commandant Mihir Lal Ray.

A new recruitment initiative has been launched by the Tripura government with the formation of a dedicated committee to oversee the appointment of 916 police constables across the state. Officials from the Home Department confirmed that the vacancies will include positions reserved for both male and female candidates.

The recruitment committee has been constituted under the leadership of Mihir Lal Ray, Commandant of the 1st Battalion of the Tripura State Rifles (TSR). The panel has been entrusted with supervising the entire recruitment procedure to ensure transparency and smooth execution of the selection process.

Senior police and TSR officials, including Pratim Chanda and Dipa Debbarma, have also been included in the committee. In addition to police representatives, members from the Scheduled Caste Welfare, Scheduled Tribe Welfare, and Sainik Welfare departments will participate in the recruitment oversight process.

According to sources, the government aims to strengthen the state police force through this large-scale recruitment exercise. The move is expected to improve manpower availability in various security and law enforcement units across Tripura.

The formation of the panel marks the beginning of the official recruitment process, and further details regarding eligibility criteria, application procedures, and examination schedules are likely to be announced in the coming weeks.
