Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu today expressed concern about the safety of women in society and appealed to protect women so they can live without fear. Addressing the gathering at the Rakhi for Soldiers program organized at Raj Bhavan in Agartala, the Governor expressed displeasure that news of gruesome attacks, harassment, and discrimination against women is becoming all too common.
He said, atrocities against women threaten the fabric of society. The Governor remarked that the Rakhi festival reminds society that brothers have a responsibility to protect and empower their sisters. He called upon people to create a society where women can live without fear, thrive, and reach their full potential.
