Bipasha Chakrabarty , a student of Tripura University held the entire Central Hall packed with Parliamentarians and other dignitaries captive by her mesmeric speech on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and his connection with North East India.. The student of a 5th Semester of Integrated Master’s Degree in English in Tripura University was one among a few students and youths who were invited to a lecture events at the Central Hall of the Parliament House in New Delhi on Monday on the occasion of Netaji Jayanti.
Bipasha in her speech recalled the day when Netaji led Azad Hind Vahini hoisted flag of the Azad Bharat in mainland India – at Manipur.
“I want to recall that glorious day of the history written in golden letters – the 14 April, 1944 when Azad Hind jawans, for the first time, hoisted the country’s National Flag at Moirang in Manipur. It was the day when Netaji and his Azad Hind Force made a clarion declaration that Freedom is India’s birthright and Azad Hind will snatch freedom from the British rulers with valour and gallantry”, Bipasha, said.
She was selected from the State, to pay tributes to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his 126th Birth Anniversary in the Central Hall.
Paying her homage, Bipasha said, “Bharat Maa ke Agni Putra, har baat jimney khas hye, wo Shan he Jai Hind Ki, naam unka Subhas hye. (Agniputra of mother India of whom everything is special -he is the pride of Jai Hind, his name is Subhas).
She pointed out it was the visionary Netaji who made the Northeast region as the base for his freedom struggle. The Northeast region got connected with India’s freedom struggle holding Netaji’s hand.
“At that time, the freedom struggle was limited to Delhi and other adjoining areas. In a sense, Netaji, the farsighted leader, made the Northeast as Azadi ka Neer”, she said.
Continuing her inspiring talks, Bipasha referred to the Lachit Barphukan and Rani Gaidinliu who bravely fought against the foreign invaders. Netaji, as a successor of them, emerged as a leader in the horizon of the country’s freedom struggle.
Netaji Subhas Chandra stays in the heart of the Northeast people. Today, on his birthday, people are celebrating his birth anniversary in every hamlet and every house.
“Let the spirit of the celebration reverberate across the country and let us all remember his”, Bipasha ended her speech at the Central hall.
Among others, Lok Sabha speaker, Om Birla was present in the programme.
After her successful rendering on Netaji at the central hall, the Tripura University fraternity congratulated her saying that she had made.
