The two-day Tripura Education Conclave 2026 will begin at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, on October 13, focusing on NEP 2020 implementation, education reforms, quality improvement and a five-year roadmap for strengthening the state’s education sector through collaboration among experts.

The two-day Tripura Education Conclave 2026 will begin at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala on Tuesday, October 13, bringing together educationists, teachers, researchers and administrators to discuss the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and develop a roadmap for the state’s education sector for the next five years.

The conclave is being organised by Vidya Bharati Shiksha Samiti, Tripura, in collaboration with Maharaja Bir Bikram University. The event aims to provide a platform for discussions on the present condition of education in Tripura, the progress made in implementing the national education policy and the challenges faced during the process.

Addressing a press conference at Agartala Press Club on Monday, the organisers said Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu would inaugurate the conclave at 11 am on October 13. Dr Pawan Tiwari, organisational secretary of Vidya Bharati’s Purvottar Kshetra, is also expected to attend the inaugural programme.

According to the organisers, the two-day event will focus on identifying key issues affecting the state’s education system and exploring measures to improve the overall quality of education. Discussions will examine the progress of NEP 2020 implementation in Tripura, along with the difficulties encountered in translating its provisions into practice.

The conclave will also deliberate on new initiatives and strategies to make education more effective and responsive to changing requirements. Participants are expected to exchange ideas, share their experiences and discuss practical approaches to addressing existing challenges in the education sector.

A major objective of the programme is to formulate a coordinated action plan for the next five years. The roadmap is expected to provide a framework for future discussions on educational development, quality improvement and the implementation of policy initiatives across the state.

Educationists, teachers, researchers and education administrators are expected to participate in the conclave. Their involvement is intended to encourage wider consultation and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and perspectives on the future direction of education in Tripura.

The organisers expressed hope that the conclave would contribute meaningfully to discussions on implementing NEP 2020 in the state. They said the event would offer an opportunity for stakeholders to assess the current education scenario, identify areas requiring attention and consider initiatives that could strengthen the education system in the coming years.
