Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha addressed public grievances during the 71st Mukhyamantri Sammipeshu programme, providing medical and financial assistance while urging people to trust the state’s improving healthcare system through faster government intervention and welfare-focused governance.
With a sensitive and responsible approach towards the various problems, needs and medical requirements of common people, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha directly interacted with people who had come from different parts of the state through the 71st edition of the “Mukhyamantri Sammipeshu” programme today. The programme was held at the Chief Minister’s official residence, Chief Minister listened to each, one by one and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officials present, aiming for quick and effective solutions. The programme reflects the humane and people-oriented approach of a government committed to public welfare.
A total of 18 people seeking assistance met with the Chief Minister during today’s programme. Most of them sought financial aid for medical treatment and necessary government support. They brought to the Chief Minister’s attention various ailments including heart disease, brain tumours, kidney-related diseases, blood cancer, lung cancer, thyroid cancer, pneumonia, vision-related complications, and rare physical conditions. The Chief Minister listened to each person’s concerns with great empathy and, besides assuring them of advanced treatment, instructed the health department officials and concerned authorities present to work towards a quick resolution of their problems.
Additionally, on the Chief Minister’s instructions, financial assistance was provided to several applicants from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, based on their applications and socio-economic conditions. While interacting with the applicants, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha said that people need to move away from the tendency to unnecessarily travel outside the state for treatment, as the present government is continuously working to build advanced and modern healthcare services for the people of the state.
He said that many modern treatment methods and health services are now available within the state itself, benefiting a large number of people. He noted that the medical infrastructure, modern equipment, specialist doctors, and the overall quality of health services have improved significantly compared to before. He therefore urged people to trust the state’s healthcare system for their treatment while also extending cooperation to the government.

The Chief Minister’s Secretary and Health Department Secretary Kiran Gitte, Director of Health Services Dr. Debashree Debbarma, Medical Superintendent of GBP Hospital Dr. Bidhan Goswami, Medical Superintendent of IGM Hospital Dr. Nirmal Sarkar, Medical Superintendent of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital Dr. Shiromani Debbarma, along with other senior officials of the Health Department, were present at today’s programme.
