Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha praises Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 131st Mann Ki Baat episode, highlighting national unity, organ donation awareness, sports achievements, AI Summit success, and Tripura’s record participation in the flagship monthly radio programme.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, continues to inspire millions of citizens across India by promoting messages of resilience, unity, innovation, and social responsibility.
The Chief Minister made the remarks after listening to the 131st edition of the programme at Mohanpur in West Tripura, where he joined local residents for a community listening session. According to CM Saha, the programme has become a powerful platform for direct communication between the Prime Minister and the people of India.
“In every booth across the state, the Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat programme was organised during the previous edition. Alongside public listening events, many people tuned in from their homes. Through this platform, Prime Minister Modi connects directly with the entire nation,” Saha said.
Tripura Tops National Participation
Highlighting Tripura’s engagement, the Chief Minister noted that the state topped the country in participation during the previous edition of the programme. Booth-level arrangements were made across the state to ensure maximum outreach and involvement.
“This reflects the enthusiasm and commitment of the people of Tripura. The programme has truly connected every household,” he added.
Deeply Touching Stories of Courage and Compassion
Describing the 131st episode as “deeply touching,” CM Saha said that the Prime Minister shared inspiring stories that left a profound emotional impact.

One such story was about a young girl who passed away, and whose parents chose to donate her organs, thereby saving multiple lives. The Chief Minister said the story conveyed a powerful message about selflessness and humanity.
Another inspiring example highlighted during the programme was of a woman who underwent a heart transplant and later took up long-distance driving, demonstrating extraordinary determination and inner strength.
“These examples convey a powerful message that with determination and confidence, any challenge can be overcome,” Saha remarked.
Empowering Persons with Disabilities
The Chief Minister also mentioned that Prime Minister Modi spoke about individuals with physical disabilities who continue to excel in various fields with the support of modern technology.
Referring to upcoming Paralympic events, Saha said Indian athletes, including participants from Tripura, have performed commendably in recent competitions. He assured that the state government is extending full support to athletes, particularly those participating in Paralympic sports.
“Even visually impaired individuals are playing cricket today. Such inspiring stories motivate society at large and show how inclusive growth is becoming a reality,” he added.
Focus on Agriculture and Innovation
Apart from social issues and sports, the Prime Minister also emphasised innovative agricultural practices aimed at boosting productivity. According to CM Saha, discussions included effective utilisation of ponds and water resources for enhancing farm output.
The episode also highlighted the success of the recent AI Summit, sports achievements, the importance of organ donation, KYC awareness, and modern farming methods. The Prime Minister also spoke about the Kerala Kumbh, underlining India’s cultural diversity and spiritual heritage.
Tributes and Student Encouragement
During the programme, tributes were paid to late J. Jayalalithaa, the popular AIADMK leader and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The Prime Minister also extended heartfelt best wishes to students appearing for board examinations, encouraging them to remain confident and focused.
CM Saha said that the Prime Minister’s consistent engagement with citizens through Mann Ki Baat fosters a sense of collective responsibility and national pride.
