Efforts are underway to transform Tripura into a model state, with various development programs being implemented to boost the state’s progress and enhance the quality of life for its residents. The government, led by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, is committed to securing a prosperous future for the next generation.
Chief Minister Dr. Saha made these remarks during a state-wide function for the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, organized by the School Education Department at the Umakanta Academy in Agartala. The Chief Minister inaugurated the event by releasing tricolor balloons and presenting the national flag to a well-adorned Bharat Mata statue, symbolizing national pride.
In his address, Dr. Saha highlighted the significance of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative, launched nationwide in 2022 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This campaign aims to honor the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence. The Chief Minister emphasized that this year’s campaign includes various programs organized to commemorate Independence Day, with events taking place across all districts and sub-divisions of the state.
The day’s celebrations began with a grand tricolor rally, which saw the participation of students from various schools, members of social organizations, and prominent citizens, all carrying the national flag. The rally underscored the unity and patriotism of the people of Tripura, reflecting the state’s commitment to the nation’s progress.
Dr. Saha reiterated that the state government is working tirelessly to advance Tripura by adhering to the vision of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas’—a philosophy that promotes collective efforts and trust among all communities. The government is focused on strengthening the bonds of unity among the diverse communities in Tripura, including various castes and tribes.
The Chief Minister proudly pointed out that Tripura has been recognized for its effective implementation of development programs across various sectors, including health, education, rural development, and sports. The state’s achievements were recently acknowledged at the NITI Aayog meeting and the Chief Ministers’ Conclave. Notably, six national highways have been constructed in Tripura, compared to just one in the past, with plans underway for four more. Additionally, the state’s tourism sector has seen significant growth, with a notable increase in the number of visitors.
Dr. Saha also stressed the government’s commitment to making Tripura a drug-free state through a zero-tolerance policy. He urged the youth and all citizens to support this initiative, emphasizing the importance of a healthy and productive society for the state’s future.
The event also featured a welcome address by Ravel Hemendra Kumar, Special Secretary of the Education Department. NC Sharma, Director of Secondary Education, and other dignitaries were in attendance. The Chief Minister took part in a memorable photo session at the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ selfie point, capturing the spirit of the occasion.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign continues to be a powerful symbol of national unity and pride in Tripura, as the state joins the rest of the country in celebrating its freedom and progress.
