TRINAMOOL FINDS TRIPURA NOT REALLY SUITABLE FOR THE PARTY

Three Trinamool Congress leaders from West Bengal- Bratya Basu, Hritabrata Basu and Malay Ghatak  who had arrived here to find the feasibility of the party’s revival in the state, were reported to have found the state was not really suitable for re-launching the Trinamool Congress here. 
In a press conference here the leaders sought to whip up the Bengali sentiments and claimed that only Trinamool Congress could put up a decisive fight against the BJP.  They also sought to project their party president Mamata Bannerjee—who is presently camping in New Delhi trying to unite the opposition parties against Narendra Modi government – as the future Prime Minister of the country.
However, the Trinamool leaders from West Bengal found , as sources said, there was a serious dearth of any person of worth who could lead the party in Tripura. Almost all the previous Trinamool leaders of Tripura either joined the BJP or got discredited for their lack of understanding of the ground realities. Many of them had just simply vanished into oblivion or were not at all in a position to make any impact in the political arena any more. Apart from that on earlier occasions Mamata Bannerjee herself did not attach any importance to Tripura unit of the Trinamool Congress or raised voice against the Leftist misrule, nor did she ever spoke against the militant atrocities on the unarmed civilians for decades. 
The  former Trinamool leaders like Arun Chandra Bhowmik , Ratan Chakrabarty , Surajit Datta , Sudip Roy Barman,  Asish Saha are presently BJP MLAs while Subal Bhowmik went back to Congress only to be left in the cold.
What is more, the Trinamool Congress leaders from West Bengal here found that Muslim population was also not very encouraging to push the party politically to a level of reckoning. Trinamool Congress which sailed high and managed to wrest the electoral victory in the last assembly elections playing  overt Muslim card and using illegal Bangladeshi migrants as vote banks, is thus not in a position to repeat the same experience here. 
Interestingly, the Trinamool leaders also sought to indicate their softening stand towards the CPM- which of late expressed its desire to align with the Trinamool to fight the BJP.
Marxism is an important ideology but the party is guided by the oldtimers and in the need of young blood, so they felt.
