Ending a long wait Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) on Friday recommended 256 candidates for recruitment to the post of Under Graduate Teachers. 

As per the notification, the candidates have provisionally been recommended for the UGT posts under the School Education department as per the merit.

Meanwhile, Education minister Ratanlal Nath on Friday informed the House that all the TET-qualified candidates would soon be recruited and a cabinet decision was already taken in this regard.

CM to launch Paragliding, para-motoring on June 29

 If everything goes as per the plan, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha would inaugurate paragliding and paramotoring facilities on June 29.

Addressing a press conference at Geetanjali State Guest House, Tourism minister Pranajit Singha Roy said, the paragliding facility would be launched at Vanghmun (Jampui Hills) while the para-motoring facility would be introduced at Neermahal. 

He said the new facilities would attract adventure lovers in more numbers. 

The Tourism minister also announced the programmes taken by Tripura Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) to mark World Tourism Day. This year, the day would be celebrated with the theme ‘Rethinking Tourism’. 

He said, a Digital Museum would be developed at the iconic Pushbanta Palace and an initiative has been taken to lay the Foundation Stone for the project by President Droupadi Murmu on October 14 next. 

The Tourism minister also said, various important tourist locations including Chabimura, Narkelkunja and Dumboor Lake are being developed with new facilities. 

Speaking to the media, he further added that the state witnessed a sharp increase in the number of tourists, both domestic and international, since 2018. 

The Tourism minister also highlighted the major works being implemented by the state government to develop the tourist spots.
