

Transport Minister Sushant Chowdhury emphasized the importance of safeguarding India’s sovereignty during the inauguration of the Har Ghar Tricolor vehicle rally at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Memorial Bus Stand. The event, part of the Har Ghar Tricolor program, honors the sacrifices of freedom fighters and aims to instill a sense of patriotism among the citizens.
“Today, we renew our commitment to protecting the sovereignty of independent India,” Chowdhury stated. He highlighted the sacrifices made by freedom fighters, who, with unwavering resolve, contributed to the country’s freedom. The Har Ghar Tricolor initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022, is designed to pay tribute to these heroes and encourage national pride.
Chowdhury also noted that the Har Ghar Tricolor campaign is pivotal in fostering a patriotic spirit among the younger generation. He acknowledged the state’s progress in various sectors including agriculture, communication, health, education, tourism, infrastructure, and transport, which contribute to the vision of “One Tripura, Shrestha Tripura.”
The opening ceremony featured a welcome speech by Transport Department Secretary CK Jamatia. Following the inauguration, the vehicle rally proceeded through the city, concluding back at the bus stand. The rally showcased diverse vehicles and was organized by the Department of Transport. Key attendees included Agartala Pur Nigam Mayor and MLA Deepak Majumder, Corporator Abhijit Mallick, TRTC Chairman Balai Goswami, and Special Secretary Subrata Chowdhury.
