Train services of the Konkan Railway have been affected due to soil slippage between the Diwankhavati-Vinhere section of the Ratnagiri region. The incident of soil slippage occurred yesterday evening. As a result, the Lokmanya Tilak Thiruvananthapuram Central “Netravati” Express and Lokmanya Tilak Mangaluru Central Express have been cancelled.
Five other trains have been diverted and two others have been short terminated. According to Konkan Railway, officials of the Navi Mumbai-headquartered Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd (KRCL) reached the spot and restoration work was in progress.
