As the Lok Sabha elections draw near, the Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress (TPYC) convened a State Extended Executive Meeting at the Congress Bhawan. The meeting, which featured representatives from the Pradesh Youth Congress across all districts in the state, was chaired by All India Youth Congress Secretary Eshan Ahmed Khan and attended by Tripura Pradesh Congress President Asish Kumar Saha.
Addressing the gathering, Khan emphasized the pivotal role of youth activists in shaping the upcoming electoral battle. He drew parallels with the 2023 assembly elections, during which youth activists from Congress vigorously campaigned against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and expressed his confidence that the Youth Congress would once again lead the charge against the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Khan elaborated on the strategy, stating, “We will launch campaigns such as ‘One Booth, 5 Youths’ and ‘Booth Jodo, Youth Jodo’ once more. It is the energy and dedication of our youth that will ensure the BJP does not secure a single seat from Tripura in the Lok Sabha.”
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, TPCC President Asish Kumar Saha revealed that the discussions revolved around organizational matters and strategies that youth activists and Congress supporters would adopt to bolster their fight against the BJP in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.he meeting underscores the Youth Congress’s determination to play a significant role in shaping the political landscape in Tripura and its commitment to engaging and mobilizing young voters ahead of the national elections. As the political contest intensifies, all eyes will be on the strategies and campaigns orchestrated by the youth wing of the Congress party.
