The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is actively considering a strategy to bolster its Seva Dal by recruiting additional members in preparation for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. The goal is to challenge what they perceive as the misrule of the BJP government. This announcement was made by Congress State President Asish Kumar Saha during a meeting held on Sunday.
The meeting, presided over by Saha, was attended by Seva Dal cadres at the Agartala Congress Bhagwan. Notable figures present included Chandan Baruah, the North East incharge of the Congress, and Sukanta Bhattacharjee, who oversees the Seva Dal in Tripura.
Saha emphasized that the Congress party is committed to strengthening its organizational structure, including the Seva Dal, with the aim of intensifying their movement against what they perceive as the misgovernance of the BJP government. The Congress intends to leverage the public’s growing distrust of the BJP as a tool in their campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He stated, “There is an urgent need to remove the BJP from power, as the people of this country are frustrated with their governance and feel that they have lost some of their democratic rights.” Saha further added that the Congress is dedicated to advocating for the democratic rights of the people.
The meeting also focused on devising plans and programs for the commemoration of the foundation day of the Congress party’s Seva Dal, scheduled to be held on December 28.
