Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury recently visited key tourism sites in Gomati district, including Chabimura and Banduar, urging officials to ensure timely completion of ongoing development projects.

During his inspection, the minister assessed progress at the Banduar site in Udaipur, where replicas of 51 Shaktipeethas, significant Hindu pilgrimage sites, are being meticulously constructed. “These replicas will make Banduar a notable religious tourism destination,” Chowdhury remarked, underscoring the significance of the project for both tourism and cultural preservation. He directed all involved to expedite efforts to bring the project to completion on schedule.

The minister also reviewed the newly developed Rajarshi Hill Resort at Banduar, which now boasts modern amenities and a scenic garden designed to attract visitors. Accompanied by local legislators and senior tourism officials, he provided further suggestions to enhance visitor experience and ensure the resort’s appeal as a premium destination.

Chowdhury then toured Chabimura, a prominent site known for its unique blend of ancient rock sculptures and natural beauty. He reviewed ongoing development works and instructed authorities to focus on completing the transformations underway. The minister also took a boat ride at Chabimura, emphasizing the area’s potential for ecotourism.
