Tollywood superstar Dev announces plans to collaborate with local talent and scout picturesque shooting locations in Tripura for future projects, while promoting his upcoming directorial debut alongside Subhasree in Agartala ahead of its grand festive Durga Puja release.
In a development that could provide a massive boost to the creative arts and tourism ecosystem of Northeast India, Bengali cinema icon and producer Deepak Adhikari, popularly known as Dev, has announced that his production banner, Dev Entertainment Ventures, is actively seeking to collaborate with emerging talent from Tripura while scouting picturesque shooting destinations across the state.
Speaking to journalists during a promotional media interaction at Rupasi SSR in Agartala on Tuesday, the actor-filmmaker shared his vision of integrating regional creative voices into mainstream cinema while simultaneously showcasing the rich heritage, cultural depth, and panoramic landscapes of Tripura on the big screen.
Dev arrived in the capital city alongside leading Tollywood actress Subhasree Ganguly to promote their highly anticipated upcoming feature film, which also marks his official directorial debut under the working project moniker DeSu7.
Responding to questions from local journalists regarding the limited avenues available to Northeast artists in the mainstream entertainment industry, Dev underscored his studio’s longstanding commitment to platforming fresh, unconventional voices. He emphasized that geography should never serve as a barrier to artistic capability.
