Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnav, who is on a one-day visit to Gujarat, on Saturday visited the Bullet Train Track Slab manufacturing facility at Kim in Surat and reviewed its operations.
Talking to the media at Kim, Mr. Vaishnav said that this facility is the largest Train Track Slab manufacturing facility in the country and is known for its precision and technology. The Minister said that in the coming years, this facility will prove extremely beneficial to various future construction projects in the country.
The Minister also visited the Plasser India factory at Lakhodra in Vadodara district and took stock of the functioning of the world’s most complex track maintenance machinery at the plant.
