In a shocking incident of violence fueled by a toxic relationship, a 19-year-old youth in Tripura fatally stabbed a 16-year-old girl before turning the knife on himself on Monday. The tragedy unfolded in Kanchanpur district, leaving the local community in disbelief.

The assailant, identified as Kartik Debnath, reportedly had a relationship with the victim, a class 10 student at a local school. According to police, Debnath attacked the girl with a knife while she was on her way to school. After stabbing her multiple times, he used the same weapon to slit his own throat.

Despite the swift response from locals who rushed both teenagers to a nearby hospital, the girl succumbed to her injuries en route. Debnath, a college student, was later transferred to Dharmanagar district hospital, where he also died from his wounds.

The broad daylight crime has sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns about the tragic consequences of toxic relationships.
