North East Youth Congress Conference to be held in Agartala on January 16

The Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress, in collaboration with the All India Youth Congress, is set to organize the North East Youth Congress Conference on January 16, 2025, at the Agartala Town Hall. The announcement was made by State Youth Congress President Neel Kamal Saha during a press conference held at the Pradesh Congress headquarters in Agartala on Thursday.
Sharing details about the event, Saha revealed that the conference aims to address critical organizational issues within the Youth Congress. The gathering is expected to attract over 500 young participants from across the northeastern states. Scheduled to commence at 10:00 AM, the workshop will provide a platform for young leaders to voice their concerns, discuss challenges, and collaborate on strategies for organizational and community development.
A significant focus of the conference will be the pressing issue of drug addiction among the youth in Tripura. Saha expressed deep concern over the alarming rise in substance abuse and emphasized the need for effective and collective measures to curb this growing menace. He urged various stakeholders to work together to safeguard the younger generation from addiction’s devastating impact.
In addition, Saha addressed the challenges faced by job seekers in the state. He invited those who have appeared for various recruitment exams but are yet to secure employment to participate in the conference. Highlighting the Youth Congress's commitment to their cause, he reassured that the organization is dedicated to providing support and resources to help job seekers navigate their struggles.
“The North East Youth Congress Conference is more than just an event; it is a platform to foster unity, empower young leaders, and work collectively toward the betterment of the youth community across the region,” Saha remarked.
The press conference was also attended by Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress Assistant In-charge Jisan Ahmed and other prominent leaders, who echoed Saha’s sentiments and encouraged active participation in the upcoming event.
