Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, today reviewed various central and state government schemes, including education, healthcare, connectivity, and others being implemented in the Khowai district of Tripura. Mr. Margherita, who arrived in Agartala yesterday, is on a three-day visit to the state.
Speaking to reporters after the review meeting, the minister said that earlier, the northeast was on the periphery, but now the NDA government has brought the region, including Tripura, to the centre stage. The Minister also inaugurated the upgraded Anganwadi Centre at Champa Cherra under the Tulashikhar block of Khowai district.
