Minister of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury at review meeting in Jirania

A review meeting was held yesterday at Jirania Sub-Divisional Magistrate Conference Hall to set up model ration shops in the state. Minister of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury presided over the meeting. Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Jirania Shanti Ranjan Chakma, Additional Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sushanta Debbarma, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dulal Chandra Dutta, SDFO Tiryaj Debbarma, BDO of Mandai Swadesh Debbarma, BDO of Jirania Paritosh Debbarma, Chairperson of Jirania Nagar Panchayat Ratan Kumar Das, Chairman of Jirania Panchayat Samiti Manju Das, Vice Chairman Pritam Debnath, Chairperson of Ranir bazar Municipal Council Aparna Shukla Das, Vice Chairperson Prabirr Kumar Das, BAC Chairman of Belbari Rocken Debbarma, Chairman of Jirania BAC Shubamani Debbarma, member of Cultural Advisory Committee of West District Partha Sarathi Saha, Social worker Gauranga Bhowmik and officials of various departments were present in the meeting. In the review meeting, Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said, now a new path has started. It should be ensured that this process is smooth and that there is no negligence in the development of the area. In the meeting, the progress of various roads and other works of the PWD were discussed and the Minister emphasized the importance of completing the unfinished works.
While reviewing the activities of the power department, he said that the power department should be more alert during pre-monsoon and pre-Kalbaisakhi season. The meeting also discussed the work progress of the new sub-station. While giving information about the work of DWS department in the meeting, the officials of the department said that about 90 percent of the work under Jal Jeevan Mission of Majlishpur area has been completed. The meeting emphasized on ensuring that there is no water problem during the dry season. The public distribution system was discussed in the meeting. In this regard, the Food Minister said, plans are being taken to set up model ration shops in the entire state. He gave necessary instructions to the officials of the food department so that the public distribution system is maintained properly. In the meeting, the progress of the work of Animal Resource Development Department, Health Department were also discussed.
