Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Senior leader Hemant Soren took oath as Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the fourth time today. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Soren at a function in Morhabadi Maidan in Ranchi this afternoon.

On this occasion several India bloc leaders including Congress President Malikarjun Khadge, Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Delhi former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K.Shivkumar were present.

Samajwadi Party Chief  Akhilesh  Yadav, Senior RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav and CPI( ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya were also attended the function.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren will constitute his cabinet after winning a vote of trust on the floor of the assembly. The oath ceremony of ministers will be after the trust vote.

In the 81-member assembly, the INDIA bloc secured 56 seats. On the other hand, BJP-led NDA won 24 seats. One seat went to Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha.
