Dr Ajoy Kumar has been appointed as the in-Charge of the Tripura Pradesh Congress, party sources said in Agartala on Wednesday. Earlier, Dr Kumar held the State president’s post in Jharkhand. Chief of the TPC, Pijush Kanti Biswas welcomed the appointment and thanked the AICC. In a statement, Biswas exuded confidence that the organization of the Congress party in the State will become stronger under the guidance of Dr Kumar.
According to the appointment letter issued by general secretary of AICC, KC Venugopal Dr Kumar has been appointed as the AICC-in-Charge of Sikkim, Nagaland and Tripura with immediate effect.
