This year’s debate centers on the theme "National Interest Demands Regulation of Social Media." Established three years ago in memory of Advocate Dilip Sarkar, a noted lawyer and cultural figure, the debate aims to foster legal awareness, promote rational thinking, and encourage intellectual engagement among the youth.

Each panelist will be allotted six minutes to present their views, followed by a two-minute rebuttal round for selected participants.
According to Subrata Sarkar, Senior Advocate and program head, the event not only seeks to address critical societal issues but also aims to nurture the art of structured debate and reasoned argumentation, particularly among the younger generation.
