In Cricket, India defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets in the second test of the two-match series in Kanpur. Earlier, the visitors were bundled out for 146 runs, giving a target of 95 to host. For India, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah scalped three wickets each.

In the chase, India started on an aggressive note but lost two early wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 51, Virat Kohli 29 and Rishabh Pant took India home with seven wickets in hand. With this win, India has swept the two-match series 2-0.

With this win, India has solidified its top position in the 2023-2025 World Test Championship and earned an additional 12 points, raising its points percentage to 74.24 after 11 matches, well ahead of both Australia and Sri Lanka.
