Kolkata/IBNS: The Trinamool Congress has suspended its students wing leaders- Rajanya Haldar and Prantik Chakraborty- coming under fire after the two made a short film in the backdrop of the RG Kar rape-murder case, media reports said.
The controversy broke out after Rajanya shared the poster of the short film, titled Agomoni- Tilottamader Golpo. The poster reads, based on the RG Kar incident.
The poster infuriated netizens as they slam Rajanya and Prantik, the lead actress and director respectively, for allegedly insulting the trainee doctor, who was raped and murdered at Kolkatas RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on the intervening night of August 8 and 9.
The film was scheduled to be released on Mahalaya on October 2.
