Apart from 20 ST reserved assembly constituencies Tipra Motha will also join the next assembly elections from 15 more general seats. Tipra Motha chairman Pradyut Kishore Debbarman said his party will join the fray from at 35 seats in 2023 State Assembly Polls.

And this time for the sake of assembly polls he seemed to have toned down his rhetoric and said,“I will seek blessings of Bengali people too so that we can win the Assembly Polls”.

It is, however, clear that Tipra Motha will fight those general seats where indigenous voters play crucial role, even if not decisive role.

Debbarman  while addressing a poll meeting in favour of three Tipra Motha candidates – who are contesting in Ambassa Municipal Council Poll – at Gopal Sardar Para school ground in Ambassa on Friday also slammed the ruling BJP. He alleged BJP made tall promises during 2018 Assembly Polls – but did not fulfill the promises.

Alleging the ruling government’s failure to meet the pre-poll promises on providing jobs, settling the 10323 issues, implementation of the 7th pay Commission etc, he commented, I have not come here to misguide you with lofty promises.

In 15-ward Ambassa civic body polls, Tipra Motha is contesting in three wards. Seeking support of people, Tipra Motha Chairman said, you have given a chance to everyone – but all disappointed you. This time, give us a chance”.
