The Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDC) has officially taken possession of the land and fixed assets of Proxima Rubbers Pvt. Ltd., located at Bodhjungnagar Industrial Complex. The unit had been defunct for a long time, leaving its assets in a deteriorated state and the land unused.
Due to prolonged non-functionality and abandonment by the owner, the industrial plot remained unutilized, obstructing the allocation of land to new enterprises. Additionally, the company had an outstanding rent of ₹21,61,984, and despite repeated notices, the owner failed to comply with payment demands.
Under the Tripura Public Premises Act, TIDC reclaimed approximately 3.00 acres of land, ensuring its future use for industrial growth. This initiative is expected to attract new investments and create employment opportunities in the region.
The OSD of TIDC confirmed the acquisition through a press release, stating that the recovered land will be allotted to eligible industrial units through a proper selection process.
