During a powerful address to the air warriors at the Adampur Air Force base in Punjab on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stern warning to Pakistan and the terror groups it supports. Emphasizing India’s new doctrine on counterterrorism, he declared that the nation would no longer hesitate to strike at the very source of terror, even if it meant penetrating deep into enemy territory. In his resolute tone, PM Modi stated:

“We will enter their homes and strike them down, without giving them a single chance to escape.”

He made it clear that provoking India now comes with just one outcome: total destruction. PM Modi affirmed that India’s retaliation against terror would now be swift, precise, and uncompromising, using advanced missiles, drones, and strategic force without any prior warnings. He described this approach as India’s “new normal” and referenced Operation Sindoor, calling it India’s first tri-service combat operation since the 1971 war.

A Redefined Line Against Terrorism

Reaffirming India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, the Prime Minister stated that the ‘Laxman Rekha’—India’s red line against terrorism—was now firmly established. Should another terror attack occur, India would respond with a decisive and forceful retaliation. PM Modi pointed to previous actions, including surgical strikes and airstrikes, as evidence of this new standard. Operation Sindoor, he said, exemplifies the evolved and unyielding Indian response to terrorism.

The Prime Minister further emphasized that India’s retaliation would not differentiate between terror leaders and the governments that shield them. He took direct aim at Pakistan’s military backing of terror groups, stating:

“The terrorists who relied on the Pakistani Army have been made to bite the dust by the Indian Army, Air Force, and the resilient people of India.”

Success of Operation Sindoor and Tactical Integration

PM Modi praised the armed forces for their robust response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives at the hands of terrorists linked to a Lashkar-e-Taiba proxy. In retaliation, Operation Sindoor was launched—a swift and coordinated military campaign that targeted nine terror bases located within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Following these strikes, India successfully repelled missile and drone attacks from Pakistan.

He highlighted how the operation marked a milestone in India’s military integration. The Navy ensured maritime dominance, the Army fortified the borders, and the Air Force executed precise strikes. The coordination between these forces, alongside the Border Security Force (BSF) and paramilitary units, set a new benchmark in India’s defense strategy.

The Prime Minister also commended India’s advanced air defense systems, including the indigenous Akash and the sophisticated Russian-made S-400, for intercepting hostile missiles and UAVs during the conflict. He denounced Pakistan’s false propaganda claiming the destruction of the Adampur base and the S-400 system, countering it with a photograph of himself at the intact base, proving the resilience of India’s military infrastructure.

Precision and Caution in Combat

PM Modi lauded the professional and calculated approach taken by Indian forces during the operation. Within a mere 25 minutes, Indian fighter jets successfully struck key terrorist bases located deep inside Pakistan. Despite the enemy’s use of civilian aircraft as cover, Indian forces exercised utmost caution, ensuring zero collateral damage. This, he noted, demonstrated the technological prowess and professionalism of India’s armed forces.

While India has paused further military action at Pakistan’s request, PM Modi warned that such restraint should not be misinterpreted as weakness. He asserted that India’s growing military might should serve as a deterrent, emphasizing the power of the nation’s advanced missiles and drones, which he remarked, would keep Pakistan “sleepless for days.”

Gratitude and Recognition for the Armed Forces

PM Modi expressed profound gratitude to the soldiers, praising their unwavering courage and strategic brilliance. He acknowledged their role as not just defenders but also as inspirations for future generations.

“Every Indian is proud of you… You have made history. I have come to seek your blessings. You are an inspiration for this and the coming generations. I salute the Army, Navy, and Air Force.”

Reflecting on the bravery displayed in the face of adversity, he applauded the forces for wiping out terror bases and eliminating around 100 terrorists. He asserted that the terrorists and their supporters had realized that attacking India would only result in massive destruction.

Countering Disinformation with Resolve

The Adampur Air Force base, which became the focal point of the military escalation, was falsely claimed by Pakistan to have been destroyed by its China-made JF-17 jets. Islamabad also alleged that the S-400 air defense system was compromised. India countered this narrative by releasing a photograph of PM Modi at the fully operational base, effectively silencing the misinformation.

By making this public, India reaffirmed its military credibility and sent a strong message against fabricated claims. PM Modi concluded his address by reaffirming that India’s military strength is not just for retaliation but for preserving peace through deterrence. The world, he said, must recognize that India’s patience should not be mistaken for passivity.
