In Telangana, the state government has released over 6,000 crore rupees towards crop loan waiver for farmers. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has formally launched the first phase of crop loan waiver in Hyderabad up to one lakh rupees.
During the first phase of the crop loan waiver, over 11 lakh farmers will be benefitted. Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka informed bankers that the second phase of the crop loan waiver, covering loans up to 1.5 lakh rupees, will be completed this month, and loans up to 2 lakh rupees will be waived by the end of next month. This initiative is expected to benefit over 40 lakh farmers.
