Keeping in line with the centre;s decision the state government has also decided to start Covid vaccination of the people in the 15-18 age group from January 3 next.
The state government’s decision was conveyed by the Information and Cultural Affairs minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Tuesday in a press conference.
Chowdhury said for the vaccination the teens would have to register online for the Covid doses.
He said as many as 46,81,817 doses have been administered in the state so far and 6,64,390 vaccines are in stock.
Briefing the media about the cabinet decisions, he said the council of ministers had also approved creation of total 13 posts.
“Two posts of Junior Forensic Digital Analyst (Group-B, Gazetted) have been created under Home department while the cabinet also okayed creation of 11 posts of Office Superintendent under PWD. The 11 posts will be filled up through promotions,” Chowdhury told the media.
