

Teachers have to take special initiative to create awareness among the students about different steps being taken in education sector. The state government is working on priority basis for advancement in the education system keeping up with the changing time, said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb after inaugurating a 50-bedded ST Boys Hostel of Kabiguru Higher Secondary School in Ganganagar under Dhalai district today. There he interacted with the students and spoke about several steps being taken by the government in education sector. The Chief Minister visited different sections of the hostel and got acquainted about different matters from the concerned officials.
The Chief Minister said, the government is working prioritizing quick delivery of citizen centric services on Panchayat level with transparency. In this regard, decision has been taken to recruit 400 Panchayat Executive Officers through TPSC examination. Besides that, for the successful implementation of Mission 100 Vidyajyoti scheme for providing quality education, decision has been taken to recruit 200 Special Educators. About 500 crore rupees will be spent under this scheme. The overall development of education and expansion of learning opportunities in tribal populated areas has taken up speed. Government assistance is being provided for training students for National Level Entrance exams. Emphasis is also being put upon residential learning of ST students.
The Chief Minister also said, teachers must take necessary steps to create awareness among students about steps being taken by the government in the education sector in the prayer assembly, as they need to know what steps are being taken for their welfare. NCERT syllabus is being introduced and other plans such as Lakhshya scheme etc. are being implemented. Students of the state as well as outside the state can now take the opportunity to study in the Forensic Science College in Tripura which is the first in the Northeast. Not only this, many are even coming to the state for different criminal researches also. Others present in the inaugural programme were Tribal Welfare Minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia, MP Rebati Tripura, MLA Dhananjoy Tripura, MDC Bhumikananda Reang and Dhalai DM Govekar Mayur Ratilal.
