Tanvi Sharma to face compatriot Rakshitha Ramraj in Women’s Singles Quarterfinal of Korea Masters

In Badminton, India’s Tanvi Sharma will face her compatriot Rakshitha Ramraj in the women’s singles quarterfinal of the Korea Masters in Asan today. Tanvi progressed to the quarterfinals after defeating fellow Indian Shriyanshi Valishetty in the pre-quarterfinals, while Rakshitha advanced to the quarterfinals after beating Japan’s Manami Suizu.
 
Meanwhile, Ashmita Chaliha will take on top seed Hina Akechi of Japan in another women’s singles quarterfinal. Ashmita progressed to the last eight with a dominant win over South Korea’s Kim Min Ji. In the men’s doubles quarterfinals, the Indian duo of Prithvi Krishnamurthy Roy and Krishna Prasad Garaga will face Malaysia’s Man Wei Chong and Soh Wooi Yik for a place in the semifinals.
