Scorching sun in Tamil Nadu did not deter political leaders from campaigning to woo voters for the Tamil Nadu Assembly election today. Political leaders are campaigning in various parts of the state as the last day for campaigning is drawing closer.
DMK leader and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin today began his campaign by paying tribute to freedom fighter Dheeran Chinnamalai on his 271st birth anniversary.
AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami also paid floral tributes to the portrait of freedom fighter Dheeran Chinnamalai at his residence in Salem while campaigning for his party candidate contesting the Sangakiri constituency in Salem district. He said that the AIADMK alliance is strong and will defeat its opponents with full force. He alleged that the DMK is exploiting 8 crore people for the survival of one family and said this election must end it.
During his campaign, Palaniswami said that projects shelved by the DMK government due to political vendetta would be resumed and expanded once the AIADMK comes to power.
