At an event celebrating academic excellence, the Minister for Transport and Tourism, Sushanta Chowdhury, awarded Rs 5,000 each to TBSE rank holders during a felicitation ceremony at Gitanjali Town Hall on Monday. The event celebrated the commendable performance of students from Ranirbazar Municipal Council in the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations this year.
Minister Chowdhury inaugurated the ceremony, extending his congratulations to the high-achieving students. He highlighted the exceptional performances of Tushar Rudra Pal and Santanu Shil from Sishu Niketan School, who secured positions in the top-10 merit list for the secondary and higher secondary examinations.
In his address, Chowdhury stressed the importance of holistic development, noting that academic excellence must be complemented by the cultivation of good character.
The ceremony saw the felicitation of 335 meritorious students from four Higher Secondary Schools in the Ranirbazar area. The standout achievers, Tushar Rudra Pal and Santanu Shil, were honored with a cash prize of Rs 5,000 each for their outstanding results.
Teachers from the Ranirbazar schools were also acknowledged for their unwavering dedication and support throughout the academic year.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Aparna Das, Chairperson of the Ranirbazar Municipal Council, and Animesh Dhar, Additional Sub-divisional Magistrate, among others.
