As many as seven people died after a six-storey building collapsed in Sachin industrial area of Surat yesterday. Teams of NDRF and SDRF carried out the rescue operation throughout the night and recovered seven bodies including six males and one female. One woman was rescued by the fire team and shifted to hospital. The operation was closed today morning.
Police said five flats were occupied out of the 30 apartments in the residential building.
