In the Women’s Premier League (WPL) cricket, UP Warriorz defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a thrilling Super Over at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru last night. Chasing a target of 9 runs in the Super Over set by UP, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana and wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh could only manage 4 runs from 6 balls.

Earlier, both teams scored 180 runs in their respective 20 overs. Batting first after losing the toss, RCB posted 180 for 6. Ellyse Perry played a brilliant knock, scoring 90 runs off just 56 balls and Wyatt-Hodge contributed with 57 runs from 41 balls. In reply, UP Warriorz were all-out for 180 in 20 overs.
