The High Court of Tripura allowed the state government four weeks to come up with its actions regarding regularization of the SSA Teachers. The order of the Division Bench of the High Court presided over by Chief Justice AA Kureshi came following a contempt petition that was filed by a SSA Teacher Sajal Deb.
The High Court had earlier asked the state government to regularize the SSA teachers by August 22. But as it was not done the contempt was filed.
In the High Court the Advocate General Siddhartha Shankar Dey also submitted that the state government would not move with an SLP to the Supreme Court against the High Court’s previous order for the SSA Teachers’ regularization.
The advocate general submitted that the state government was presently in consultation with the Central government to finalize and formalize the roadmap for the regularization of the SSA teachers, said senior advocate Somik Deb who appeared for the petitioners.
Having heard the both sides the High Court asked the government to appear on October 4 with the details of the actions that would be taken for regularization of the SSA teachers.
