Bengaluru’s Srishti Kiran has become the world’s No 1 in the Under-13 tennis player after winning five straight ITF junior titles and finishing runner-up at the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J100 Guatemala.
The 13-year-old climbed to a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 357, the highest among Under-13 players globally. She achieved the feat despite competing in only eight ranking events, two fewer than the maximum 10 tournaments used for rankings, making her ascent to the top of the Under-13 rankings even more noteworthy.
