Bringing a change in the political landscape in Sri Lanka, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena launched a new political alliance, Podujana Eksath Nidahas Peramuna, in Colombo today.
Several MPs from Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna as well as from other parties who have expressed support to President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the forthcoming presidential election participated at the launch event.
The newly launched ‘Podujana Eksath Nidahas Peramuna’ is headed by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, with Minister Ramesh Pathirane as the Secretary of the Party. At the launch event, a common agreement was signed by the MPs.
