Indian Men’s Hockey squad for C’wealth Games  announced

Hockey India announced 18-member Indian Men’s Hockey squad for Commonwealth Games 2022 yesterday. Commonwealth Games are scheduled to begin on 29th July in Birmingham.
India is in pool B with England, Canada, Wales and Ghana, India will begin their campaign on 31st July against Ghana. Manpreet Singh, who led the Indian team to a historic Bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo last year will lead the team in Commonwealth Games 2022.

India Vs SA T-20 International series ends in a draw

The five-match T-20 International series between India and South Africa ended in a 2-2 draw, with both teams sharing the trophy as the final match was called off. The fifth and final cricket match between India and South Africa was washed away with only 3.3 overs bowled at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru last night.
The rain had earlier interrupted the start of play after Proteas elected to bowl first and it had been reduced to 19 overs per side.
Put into bat first, India were 28 for the loss of two wickets after 3.3 overs before rain came back and match was called off.
Visitors won the first two matches before the hosts bounced back to level the series at 2-2. 

Neeraj Chopra clinches gold in Finland

India’s top javelin thrower and 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games gold medallist Neeraj Chopra has declared his intention of winning gold in the opening Diamond League competition in Stockholm on 30th June,  Neeraj said that despite the tough weather conditions, he continues to train with an eye on the top podium finish. Days after winning silver and setting a national record at the Paavo Nurmi athletics meet, Chopra yesterday clinched the men’s javelin throw gold at the 2022 Kuortane Games in Finland with an impressive throw of 86.69 meters.
