South Korea’s Jeju Airlines plans to reduce its flight operations in response to growing concerns over the safety of its flight operations, in the wake of the fatal crash this week. Song Kyung-hoon, head of Jeju Air’s management support office today said, the airlines is preparing to implement reductions in domestic flight operations by next week and for the international routes in the third week.
As per media reports, the plane involved in the crash had operated 13 flights in 48 hours prior to the incident. Song also said, Jeju Air has been exchanging opinions with the families of victims on procedures to provide financial support. He said, that once discussions are finalized, the corporation will ensure swift disbursement.
