Kolkata/IBNS: Indias cricket icon and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly announced an app for an online course on leadership on the occasion of his 51st birthday on Saturday.
Ganguly, who is one of the most successful Indian skippers and known for changing the face of national cricket in early 2000s, announced the app, named Sourav Ganguly Masterclass, on his social media handles.

Ganguly, who made his dream debut with a century at Lords in 1996, was appointed as the India captain in 2000 in the backdrop of match-fixing scandals that had clouded the countrys cricket.
Infusing young, raw talents into the team, Ganguly led the side quite successfully, winning Natwest Trophy 2002, becoming the joint winner in Champions Trophy in the same year and going ahead to reach the 2003 World Cup final.
Levelling the Test series against the mighty Australia in 2003-2004, beating Pakistan on Pakistan soil in 2004 are some of the laurels he brought to the cricket-loving nation.
After losing his spot briefly from the national team, Ganguly made a powerful comeback in December 2006 and went on to play for another two years until he announced his retirement from international cricket.
Apart from playing Indian Premier League (IPL), the southpaw ventured into commentary, hosting and cricket administration in his post-retirement life.
After remaining president of Cricket Association of Bengal for years, Ganguly remained the Indian cricket board (BCCI) chief for three years from 2019 to 2022.
