Sindhu advances to Indonesia Open 2nd round; Lakshya, Anupama crash out –

At the Indonesia Open 2025, two time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu won in a three-game match against Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in the Round of 32 of the Indonesia Open at Istora Senayan. Sindhu won 22-20, 21-23, 21-15 against the Japanese shuttler to advance to the second round.In men’s singles, Lakshya suffered a first-round exit on this year’s tour after a 11-21, 22-20, 15-21 loss against China’s Shi Yu Qi.
 
Meanwhile, Anupama Upadhyaya exited after a straight-games loss against South Korea’s Kim Ga Eun.Later in the day, HS Prannoy and the men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will be on the court.
