The 758 Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) of Project Swastik organized a large-scale tree plantation drive in Sikkim under the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” as part of Independence Day celebrations.
The BRTF, which is active in the remote areas of North and East Sikkim near the China border, planted over 300 saplings along the Jawaharlal Nehru Marg. The event was attended by local councillor Miss Chungkela Lepcha, who also planted a sapling and encouraged locals to contribute to making the planet greener.
