Sigachi Industries Limited today announced an ex gratia of 1 crore rupees to the families of those who were killed in the accident at its Unit at Pashamylaram facility in Sangareddy district of Telangana on Monday. In a statement, the company said the accident had resulted in the loss of 40 employees and left 33 others injured. The management stated that it was actively coordinating the emergency response, offering support to families, and cooperating with the ongoing investigation and regulatory compliance processes. It assured that the families of the deceased would receive 1 crore rupees as ex-gratia compensation, while those injured would be provided full medical care and rehabilitation support. The company clarified that the accident was not caused by a reactor explosion at the plant, as mentioned in sections of the media,” it said. The firm added that operations at the Pashamylaram plant would remain suspended for approximately 90 days.
