In a vibrant celebration of faith and community, the long-anticipated Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Avissawella was inaugurated today. Devotees thronged in huge numbers for the event. The ceremony was held in the presence of the founder president of the Shirdi Sai Global Foundation, C. B. Satpathy, and the high commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha.
The temple stands as a symbol of unity and a tribute to the enduring legacy of Shirdi Sai Baba’s teachings. Attendees experienced a series of dignified rituals, including soulful bhajans, insightful discourses, and the communal sharing of meals, all of which underscored the spirit of togetherness. In addition, the temple and its adjoining ashram have been envisioned as sanctuaries for reflection, service, and personal growth, aligning seamlessly with the life and legacy of Shirdi Sai Baba.
